Sixers 87, Heat 97

With a fresh record and a new look,
the Sixers put their first game in the book,
losing by 10 to the Heat,
but they filled every seat
in a Wells Fargo Center that shook.

In his professional ball debeut,
Evan Turner – off the bench – came through.
He led the team,
scoring 16,
his preseason struggles taboo.

But, of course, Miami’s Big 3
overpowered the team in Philly.
They scored 61
for win number one
of what forecasters think will be many.
